Sheri is a Research Associate with the IWK Health Centre and also holds an Adjunct Faculty appointment with the School of Nursing, Dalhousie University. Sheri is currently completing PhD studies in Nursing at the University of Toronto, studying with Dr. Linda McGillis Hall. Sheri's doctoral research will focus on understanding career choice and professional socialization for the upcoming generation of nurses. Sheri holds doctoral research awards from the Canadian Institute Health Research, Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation and the Canadian Nurses Foundation. Sheri's program of research to date has been focused predominantly in the areas of women's health and health service delivery. Sheri serves as co-investigator on two nationally funded research studies: a project exploring the quality of workplace communities, funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research, and a project exploring nurse mobility patterns, funded by the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation.
